The Dutch newsagency ANP is reporting that the Walloon government has signed a new contract with Formula One Management to preserve the Belgian Grand Prix. The deal is understood to be for three years only. There was previously a 15-year deal in place, guaranteed by the government, but this appears to have dissolved by the parties involved.
The new contract apparently means that the Walloon government will be responsible for the upkeep and upgrading of the track, in addition to the annual fees.
