Alpine looks to sign Gasly

Following the decision by the Contract Recognition Board, which allowed McLaren to sign Oscar Piastri to drive alongside Lando Norris next season, the Alpine Formula One team is expected not to dispute the decision in court, but will instead sign Frenchman Pierre Gasly to the team next week, immediately following the Italian Grand Prix at Monza.

Piastri joins McLaren alongside Norris for 2023

Following the decision of the Contract Recognition Board, in which it made a unanimous decision that "the only Contract to be recognised by the Board is the Contract between McLaren Racing Limited and Mr Piastri dated 4 July 2022. Mr Piastri is entitled to drive for McLaren Racing Limited for the 2023 and 2024 seasons."
