Qualifying Report - Alonso blasts to pole
Fernando Alonso took pole position for the British Grand Prix with a controlled lap to see off the challenge of Michael Schumacher while Kimi Raikkonen snuck in at the last minute to bump Schumacher back to third on the grid.

Practice 3 Report - Some very odd times
The Saturday morning practice session at Silverstone produced a very weird set of times with Michael Schumacher ahead of the rest of the field by four-tenths of a second but with Nick Heidfeld second in his BMW Sauber. Felipe Massa was third fastest ahead of Kim Raikkonen.

Practice 2 Report - Kubica on top
Robert Kubica gave everyone a surprise at Silverstone on Friday afternoon when he set the fastest time of the day in his BMW. The Pole was more than 1.2secs ahead of the nearest challenger, indicating that the major runners have still to show their hands fully.

A race for Valencia?
The word in the paddock in Silverstone was that the city of Valencia will be hosting a Formula 1 race in 2008. The event would be in addition to the Spanish Grand Prix and would aim to take advantage of the huge interest in F1 in Spain because of the success of Fernando Alonso.
Mosley's brave new world
FIA President Max Mosley has revealed his ideas for the future of Formula 1 and is aiming to follow up his engine freeze regulations with a new era of energy storage devices and beyond that a new formula in 2011 that would restrict not the capacity of the engine but rather the energy consumed.
Practice 1 Report - Wurz tops for Williams
Alexander Wurz set the fastest time of the first practice session on Friday at Silverstone with a lap time that was just a few thousandths faster than Anthony Davidson's Honda.

Red tractors?
Ferrari is to carry sponsorship at the United States Grand Prix from tractor company Case IH. The agricultural equipment company is owned by FIAT and is a sister business of Ferrari and Fiat boss Sergio Marchionne hopes that exposure on the Ferraris will help the firm to sell more tractors in the Midwest.
