Sebastian Vettel (1:21.707) and Mark Webber (1:21.791) comfortably topped the final session of free practice for the Spanish GP at Barcelona.

Given the team's Friday long run pace it is hard to see anyone beating the Red Bulls in Spain, where Webber was dominant last year. Closest challenger in FP3 was Michael Schumacher's Ferrari (1:23.057), followed by the McLaren-Mercedes twins Lewis Hamilton (1:23.068) and Jenson Button (1:23.214).

Nico Rosberg's Mercedes (1:23.397) was sixth fastest, from Kamui Kobayashi's Sauber (1:23.669), Vitaly Petrov's Renault (1:24.043), Fernando Alonso's Ferrari (1:24.270) and Rubens Barrichello's Williams (1:24.318).

The most dramatic incident of the session was a fire that erupted around the back of Nick Heidfeld's Renault, which appeared to start at the back of the car and quickly spread to the front of the sidepod area. Heidfeld jumped smartly out and the fire was extinguished but it remains to be seen whether damage to the car will rule the German out of qualifying.

"It was quite a big fire and the car is quite badly damaged," Heidfeld said.
