Race Notes - Raikkonen wins Hungarian GP

Kimi Raikkonen took his fourth win of the 2005 season, winning the Hungarian GP, in Budapest, in his McLaren-Mercedes. Second place went to Michael Schumacher in his Ferrari, some 36 seconds behind, and his brother Ralf Schumacher finishing in his Toyota in third place right on his tail.
His Toyota team mate Jarno Trulli finished fourth, Jenson Button in the BAR-Honda was fifth, Williams-BMW team mates Nick Heidfeld and Mark Webber were sixth and seventh, and rounding out the points was Takuma Sato in eighth - his first point of the season.
Championship leader Fernando Alonso finished a lap down in 11th.
At the first corner, Schumacher led, but further back Christian Klien and Jacques Villeneuve touched, with the Austrian rolling his Red Bull, but emerged unscathed, while Fernando Alonso got squeezed by Ralf Schumacher and Rubens Barrichello touched the rear of Jarno Trulli - both needing to pit for new noses.
Further in the lap David Coulthard ran over parts from Alonso nose which broke his front suspension and put the Scotsman out on the spot.
The running order at the end of the first lap was Schumacher from Raikkonen, Montoya, Trulli, Ralf Schumacher, Button, Sato and Heidfeld.
Raikkonen was the first to pit on lap 11, Trulli on lap 13, Michael and Ralf Schumacher on lap 15 - with Montoya taking the lead, Sato on lap 21, Montoya on lap 22 (with a 20 second lead) and rejoined in third right behind Schumacher and Raikkonen, and Jenson Button and Giancarlo Fisichella stopped on lap 23.
At lap 25 the running order was Schumacher from Raikkonen, Montoya, Ralf Schumacher, Trulli, Heidfeld, Massa and Button.
Robert Doornbas dropped out in his Minardi on lap 28.
The second round of stops began with Trulli on lap 33, Ralf Schumacher on lap 35, Michael Schumacher on lap 36, Raikkonen on lap 37 - rejoining ahead of Schumacher.
At lap 38 Montoya on a two-stop strategy led by 8 seconds in front of Raikkonen, Schumacher, Ralf Schumacher, Trulli, Button, Heidfeld and Sato.
On lap 40, Montoya slowed and retired with a suspected driveline problem.
On lap 45, Raikkonen led Schumacher by 22.8 seconds, over Ralf Schumacher, Trulli, Button, Heidfeld, Sato and Webber.
The final stops began with Button on lap 47, Raikkonen on lap 48 - rejoining in the lead, Sato on lap 50, Fisichella on lap 51, Trulli on lap 52, Ralf Schumacher on lap 54, Webber on lap 55 and Schumacher on lap 57.
On lap 60, Raikkonen led Schumacher by 33.3 seconds, over his brother Ralf in third, Trulli, Button Heidfeld, Webber and Sato.
