Kimi Raikkonen continued to lead the way in the practice for the Chinese GP with a lap that was a tenth faster than Fernando Alonso's McLaren. The Spanish driver was a tenth behind him but two-tenths up on Felipe Massa.

There was then a gap of half a second back to Ralf Schumacher's Toyota, David Coulthard's Red Bull and Robert Kubica's BMW, all three being within an ace of one another A tenth behind this group were Heikki Kovalainen's Renault and Nick Heidfeld's BMW while the top 10 was completed by Mark Webber's Red Bull, Nico Rosberg's Williams and the Toro Rosso of Tonio Liuzzi.

Jenson Button was 13th in his Honda, ahead of Jarno Trulli's Toyota, the Super Aguri-Honda of Anthony Davidson, Sebastian Vettel's Toro Rosso and Giancarlo Fisichella's Renault.

Down at the back were the Honda of Rubens Barrichello, Alexander Wurz's Williams, Takuma Sato's Super Aguri and the two Spykers of Adrian Sutil and Sakon Yamamoto.

Raikkonen has been quickest in all the practice sessions to date and so the impression is that hde will be the man to watch in qualifying.

But you never know.
