Qualifying Report - Trulli leads Toyota 1-2
Jarno Trulli took pole position for the Bahrain GP on Saturday afternoon in his Toyota, beating his team-mate Timo Glock by three-tenths of a second. The two Toyotas were well clear of Sebastian Vettel's Red Bull and the indications are that the two cars were running less fuel than some of the opposition. The Brawns of Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello were fourth and sixth but expected to be heavy when the weights are announced and the pair were split by Lewis Hamilton's McLaren.
Fernando Alonso was seventh with the Ferraris of Felipe Massa and Kimi Raikkonen eighth and 10th, the pair split by the Williams of Nico Rosberg.
When the FIA announces the car weights we will get a better idea of who is doing what.
