Practice 2 Report - Kovalainen leads the way

Heikki Kovalainen set the fastest time of the second practice session as dusk fell in Abu Dhabi with a best lap two-tenths of a second ahead of his McLaren team-mate Lewis Hamilton. Jenson Button was third with Sebastian Vettel fourth ahead of the Toyota driver Kamui Kobayashi and Sebastien Buemi's Toro Rosso.

Mark Webber was seventh quickest ahead of Rubens Barrichello, Nico Rosberg and Kimi Raikkonen. The Force India team was struggling with Adrian Sutil in 11th, with Tonio Liuzzi 15th. Kazuki Nakajima was was 12th ahead of Nick Heidfeld's BMW Sauber and Jarno Trulli's Toyota.

Sixteenth overall was Fernando Alonso ahead of Giancarlo Fisichella's Ferrari, Romain Grosjean's Renault and Jaime Alguersuari. Robert Kubica brought up the rear after his BMW suffered a mechanical failure early in the session.
