FIA finalises 2012 calendar
The FIA, Formula 1's ruling body, has confirmed the 20-race 2012 calendar that it released this past August. The US grand prix in Austin, Texas remains on the schedule, despite contractual disputes still hanging over the race. Also, there are once again worries over whether the Bahrain GP will be able to proceed, as there is still political unrest in the country - highlighted by a bomb explosion outside the British Embassy last weekend. The schedule is as follows:
