Sutil in club spat

It has emerged that Adrian Sutil was involved in a bust-up in a bar following the Chinese Grand Prix.

It seems that Renault majority shareholder Genii Capital's Eric Lux, second in command to Gerard Lopez, was injured in the altercation in the M1NT nightclub.

Lux was spotted with scars on his neck at the Turkish GP and a Renault spokesman said: "I can confirm that there was an incident on Sunday after the Chinese GP, involving Eric Lux. We are not in a position to make any comments, as it is a private matter between Eric and the other person."

Others who were also at the club report seeing Lux leaving a VIP room bleeding from a neck wound. Lewis Hamilton, a close friend of Sutil, was also taken from the room by bodyguards shortly afterwards.

The Italian website 422race.com reports that Sutil left China hurriedly to avoid any legal complications arising from the situation. The FIA, which can initiate charges of bringing the sport into disrepute if it thinks a situation warrants it, is taking no action. Sutil's Force India team says it has no information and will not be making any comment on what it sees as a private matter.
