Horner unconcerned by Vettel shunt
Red Bull team principal Christian Horner is confident that his team is in decent shape for the Turkish GP despite Sebastian Vettel missing the only dry track running of Friday practice due to an accident exiting Turn 8 on Friday morning.
"It was just one of those things," Horner said. "We wanted to have a look at the intermediate tyre but the rain increased, Seb got a little high in Turn 8 and put a wheel on the fake grass there, which has zero grip and has claimed a few victims today.
"There was quite a lot of damage, he clobbered just about every corner on the car and we wanted to rebuild it carefully instead of cobbling it together for some of the second session. He has given the boys quite a lot to do."
Mark Webber therefore had to shoulder the team's data collection and finished the day fifth overall, with Red Bull's rivals predicting much more overt pace from the team in Saturday practice and qualifying.
