Button's Ferrari relief

John Button, father of 2009 world champion Jenson, caused a bit of a furore with the Italian police when he reported his Ferrari 550 stolen.

Police allegedly searched the Italian Riviera for close to 48 hours before Button Sr realised his error - he'd parked it somewhere else!

They love their Ferraris in Italy of course, and it seems the authorities had a sense of humour over the matter, asking the slightly red-faced John Button to pass on their best regards to Jenson.

Meanwhile, there was another high profile supercar mix-up involving British premiership footballer Jermaine Pennant, who was rung by the police after leaving a Porsche in a Spanish car park for five months. Pennant reportedly told them he had forgotten about it. How the other half live‘‚
