Upcoming car launches

Formula 1 teams have been busily building their new cars and the first of the new 2009 cars is expected to be unveiled next week when Ferrari takes the covers off its new challenger at Fiorano on Monday morning (January 12). Toyota will unveil the TF109 on January 15 but the car will not be seen in action until January 20 when it turns up for a test at the Algarve Motor Park in Portugal. McLaren will unveil the MP4-24 in Woking on January 16, while both Williams and Renault intend to unveil their new cars on Monday, January 19 in Portugal. The following day BMW Sauber will have its new car running in Valencia.

Red Bull Racing has announced that it will have its new car at Jerez on February 9 and Toro Rosso will have to wait until after that. The plans for the team formerly known as Honda and Force India remain unclear at the moment.

The teams have much to do given that they are only going to be allowed to test until the end of March when the new season kicks off in Australia.
