Koreans visit Shanghai

Formula One boss Bernie Ecclestone was giving a delegation from South Korea a tour around the Shanghai International Circuit last weekend. The Koreans are in the process of building a major motorsport facility near Mokpo, on the Muan Peninsular in the south-western corner of the country.

The track is being built by a company called the Korea Auto Valley Operation (KAVO) and financial support is believed to be coming from the regional government of Cholla-Namdo. The promoter has already signed a seven-year deal for a race, the first event being in 2010.
