Torrential rains in Singapore

Singapore was hit by huge storms in the course of Thursday night with torrential downpours that lasted for more than six hours. The weather began to clear up in the early afternoon and the first practice will probably take place in dry conditions now that the humidity has been reduced significantly. Whether this builds up again during the next few days remains to be seen but there remains the possibility that the Grand Prix could take place in the wet, which leads to a number of questions about the visibility of the track under the lights. The only way to find out how this will be is to have the cars running in those conditions to see how much spray is thrown up by the cars and whether it clears quickly or hangs in the air.
