Getting in with the right people
It is worth noting that the motor racing world was represented yesterday at the Prince of Wales's May Day Business Summit on Climate Change by Honda Racing F1's Nick Fry. This involved not only the heir to the British throne but also Prime Minister Gordon Brown, Enviroment Minister Hilary Benn and American Senator George Mitchell.
The event was organised by the Business in the Community organisation, which works with companies to improve their social and environmental impact. Prince Charles, president of Business in the Community, appealed to delegates to ensure that the credit crunch did not affect more sustainable business practices. The Prince reiterated his belief that the global issue required "unprecedented levels of urgent, collective action". The Prime Minister also made a speech to the delegates and outlined in detail the government's policies on tackling climate change.
