Ron stays on

Ron Dennis is not going to change his role at McLaren, at least not in the immediate future. There have been many rumours suggesting that Dennis was going to stand down from his role as F1 team principal but Dennis told the staff at McLaren that he will stay on to oversee this year's activities.

This is not a surprise to those who have spoken to Dennis, as he seems very positive despite all the problems in recent months and his motivation appears to be to show the world that McLaren is still a winning team. The 2008 cars have been cleared by the FIA and so there is an opportunity to show that McLaren has never needed Ferrari technology to perform, as has been claimed in the course of the last few months.
