The Forum has now expanded and this year will feature a new event in the week before the Grand Prix in Bahrain. The Motor Sport Forum Middle East will offer networking opportunities which will enable interested parties in the Middle East to meet with representatives from the world of Formula 1, the FIA World Rally Championship, NASCAR, A1GP, MotoGP, Champ Cars and WTCC, while at the same time offering the established motor racing teams the opportunity to mix with ambitious new companies in the region.
The decision to bring the Forum to the Middle East came about during last year’s Bahrain Grand Prix, when the growing fan base and significant financial investments within the region were highlighted. In addition to the race in Bahrain there are now many more events, including the Jordan Rally and Bahrain’s Desert 400 for the V8 Supercars from Australia. There will soon be a new Grand Prix in Abu Dhabi in addition to the Ferrari World theme park, while an Formula One Theme Park is under construction next to the Dubai Autodrome. Qatar boasts the Losail Circuit, which holds the opening round of Moto GP, while work is underway on the construction of a racing circuit in Riyadh in Saudi Arabia.
