The revived Spyker F1 team is to have a major test in mid-November to try to decide who will join Adrian Sutil in the team next year. The young German has a contract with the team and new owner Vijay Mallya says he wants to keep Sutil. The other seat is up for grabs and we hear that there will be four drivers seen in action at the test with both Toyota drivers, Tonio Liuzzi and Sakon Yamamoto all expected to test. The big surprise is Trulli as it was thought that the Italian had a Toyota contract for next year. There were lots of rumours in Brazil suggesting that this may be paid off as Toyota tries to make a bigger impression. There is little doubt that Timo Glock will be confirmed as one of the Toyota drivers, probably on Monday, but it is a little more difficult to establish who will drive the other car. There have been stories of a possible deal for Robert Kubica but it is hard to imagine that the Pole would want to leave BMW to move to Toyota and even more unlikely that BMW would let him go. There were suggestions that Mark Webber might also be in the frame but the Australian says this is not true. It may end up that one of the Renault drivers could pop up at Toyota depending on whether or not Fernando Alonso moves back to Enstone.

Certainly there is a great deal of activity at the moment and it seems that contracts are merely there as the starting point for negotiations rather than documents that are set in stone.
