A new F1 calendar

The FIA has published a new Formula 1 calendar for 2008 with the Belgian and Italian Grands Prix having swapped places. The Belgian GP will now be on September 7 with the Italian race a week later on September 14, rather than vice-versa. Similarly the Japanese and Chinese GPs have also been switched on October 12 and 19, with the Chinese race now being before the Japanese event.

It is not clear what caused the swaps but presumably the are clashing events in the regions involved which could have meant that the crowds would be affected.
