Spyker confirms Winkelhock

Markus Winkelhock, will partner Adrian Sutil at this weekend's European Grand Prix at the Nurburgring.

Winkelhock, the son of the late Manfred Winkelhock, a Formula 1 driver in the 1980s, before his death in a sports car accident at Mosport Park in Canada in August 1985. His uncle Joachim was an F1 driver in 1989 but never managed to qualify the difficult AGS chassis. He went on to win the Le Mans 24 Hours for BMW.

For the moment the deal is for just one race with the word on the street being that Narain Karthikeyan will be seen in the car for the remaining races.
