Albers dropped by Spyker

Christijan Albers has been dropped by Spyker because his sponsorship has failed to appear. The Dutch driver has struggled to stay competitive this year with his rookie team-mate and it was clear that his position was dependent entirely on funding.

Thus, a failure of a sponsor to pay up on time, has resulted in the team dropping Albers. It remains to be seen who will replace him but Christian Klien was spotted visiting the factory yesterday.

Several other drivers have been mentioned in relation to the drive, including test driver Markus Winkelhock.
