Scrum down!

The French Grand Prix may be in trouble but that does not mean that efforts to promote this year's race will be any less energetic than in previous years. After last year's Pink Floyd concert, this year the FFSA has decided to host a Grand Prix de France rugby party, to celebrate the fact that this year France will be hosting the Rugby World Cup.

The plan is to have a light-hearted knockout scrum competition between the various teams with team members aided by a number of ruby internationals. The winners will take home five Platinum VIP tickets for the opening World Cup match between France-Argentine at the Stade de France in September. The list of rugby celebrities is still being put together but it seems like the race will be attracting some of the most famous names in the sport, from all over the globe.

A good chance for rugby fans from the F1 world to meet legends from the sport.
