Dernie gets a new job

Frank Dernie has been an engineer in F1 and other top levels of motor racing since the late 1970s but. Having recently parted company with Williams, Dernie has decided to look at pastures new and has taken on the job of being a member of the Technical Compliance Committee of the P1 Powerboat World Championship. His job will be to make sure that the P1 boats comply with the regulations. The UIM-sanctioned offshore series has six races, all of them in Europe with events in Malta, Italy, Germany, UK, Belgium and Portugal.

Competition is intense as the most advanced production performance boats, some generating up to 2000 horsepower.
