Take out fuel and impress

There is no doubt that the Red Bull-Renault is improving all the time, with the arrival of the team's seamless shift gearbox and a number of other aerodynamic modifications which have made the car rather more competitive but David Coulthard's unofficial lap record at Barcelona yesterday should be treated with care. All week the team has been doing low fuel runs to see the ultimate pace of the cars and while DC did lap the track faster than the Ferraris of Kimi Raikkonen and Felipe Massa, that is unlikely to be repeated when the teams gather for the Spanish Grand Prix in the next few days.
