A new generation for another famous name

The sons of famous fathers have been flooding into motor racing for years and another hopeful will be joining the fray this weekend at Oschersleben in Germany when 16-year-old Adrien Tambay, son of Grand Prix winner, Patrick, begins his single-seater career in the opening round of the Formula BMW Deutschland championship. Tambay will be racing for current champions JK Racing, the team which launched Nico Rosberg and Adrian Sutil on their way to Formula 1.

Tambay was one of only the drivers to win a highly sought after place on BMW™s Young Driver Scholarship Programme for 2007, and as a scholarship winner, will benefit from valuable training and expertise which is vitally important at this early stage of his career.

Racing with the number 27, as his father did in his Ferrari days, Tambay Jr has support from Dutch property group, Hugenholtz, Motors TV, and Moulin Rouge, the latter being a Tambay sponsor for more than 25 years.
