Team bosses to discuss customer cars again
The team principals will meet this afternoon to try to find a solution the problems related to the ongoing dispute over customer cars, both in 2007 and in the future. The teams are split on whether customer teams should be allowed. The discussions are unlikely to come up with any solutions although a compomise is being put forward by Bernie Ecclestone which would allow teams to be customers for two seasons before having to build their own cars. The downside of this sensible suggestion is that the customer teams would not be eligible for any World Championship points. This means that there is not real point in the teams existing unless they are fully funded for several years in advance.
