A protest is in

The word in the Melbourne paddock is that Spyker has filed an official protest against Red Bull regarding the question of chassis design in 2007. The key point is whether or not the stewards considered themselves to be competent to judge a question relating to the terms of the Concorde Agreement. The Formula 1 rules are part of the Concorde Agreement and that is a commercial contract between the parties involved in the sport. Problems should be resolved by arbitration with the International Chamber of Commerce in Lausanne, Switzerland and it may be that the stewards will rule that they are not the right people to judge. That would then open the way for an arbitration case.
