Yoshimoto goes home

Hiroki Yoshimoto, the Japanese driver who has raced GP2 Series with BCN Competition for the last two seasons, has decided to return home to Japan in 2007 to race in the Formula Nippon Championship. Yoshimoto had the chance to stay in GP2 with Super Nova Racing but decided to take up an offer from 5 Zigen Racing team owner Masaharu Kinoshita to drive a Lola-Honda FN06 alongside Katsuyuki Hiranaka.

Yoshimoto says that he hopes to be fighting for the championship this year.

"I believe this option provides the best opportunity for me to get to F1 in the future," he said.
