A1 GP cancels Brazilian event

The A1GP Series is in action in Taupo, New Zealand, this weekend with the teams all chasing Germany, which currently leads the points thanks to the efforts of Nico Hulkenberg, who has won two feature events thus far. Among the other winners to date have been Alex Yoong (Malaysia), who swept the board at Brno; New Zealand's Jonny Reid, who won both races in Sentul; plus Neel Jani (Switzerland), who won the sprint race at Sepang; Jeroen Bleekemolen and Enrico Toccacelo, who won in Beijing; and Adrian Zaugg (South Africa) who won at Zandvoort.

The bad news is that the Brazilian round of the series has just been cancelled because it was unable to secure local TV coverage - a rather disappointing effort.
