Super Aguri names Sakon Yamamoto as second test driver

Super Aguri F1 has confirmed that it will continue its relationship with Japanese driver Sakon Yamamoto, who will take on the position of second test driver in 2007.

The Japanese driver came up through German F3 before returning to Japan to compete with Toyota Team TOM'S in the Super GT Series in Japan and has also in Formula Nippon races. He made his debut as a test driver with Jordan in 2005 and this year he moved in to race for Super Aguri after the team had been forced to drop Yuji Ide and after Franck Montagny had stood in for a number of races.

It is expected that the 24-year-old Japanese driver will also compete in GP2 in 2007.
