Verstappen to Champ Car?

Jos Verstappen says that he will be racing in Champ Car next year. In a column on his website Verstappen has told his fans that they should be ready to watch him in action at Assen in Holland on September 2 next year - when Champ car is due to visit the Dutch circuit.

Verstappen says that nothing is yet signed but that there is no rush as the US series does not kick off until April 8 2007 at Las Vegas. The Dutchman does not give any clues about which team he would race for but the stories may lead to speculation that he will end up with his old F1 team boss Paul Stoddart, once the Australian has completed his deal with the CTE-HVM team.
