On the way to the Forum

The 2006 Motor Sport Business Forum has doubled in size this year with over 500 delegates and exhibitors preparing to converge in Monaco on December 6-7 for what the organisers hope will be the industry event of the year.

"It was always important that we take the Forum to the next level this year," says event director Simon Berger. "And I think we will achieve that. I am delighted with the huge interest we've received from delegates and exhibitors. I'm also extremely pleased with the high quality of the conference programme, which now reads like a who's who of the major players in motor sport."

The exhibition area has more than doubled in size from last year and is now 95 per cent booked. Among those exhibiting will be Spyker, Bahrain International Circuit, Circuit de Catalunya, FIA Institute, Edmiston Yachts, Haymarket, Breitling, Aviaxess, and the Paul Ricard High-Tech Test Track.

The delegate list has also doubled in size from last year with representatives from all of the major championships in motor sport, including Formula 1, World Rally Championship, MotoGP, NASCAR, Champ Car, A1 Grand Prix and GP2.

The Forum also has an especially strong presence from motor sport's major sponsors. RenaultF1's new title sponsor ING, which will be represented on the conference programme by sport sponsorship manager Yoeri Geerits, is just one of the major sponsors participating in and attending the event. Others include Allianz, AMD, Bacardi, Credit Suisse, Diageo, Intel, LVMH, Magneti Marelli, Martini, SAP, TAG Heuer and Total.
