Christian Klien is to join Honda as test and reserve driver while James Rossiter is being retained as the team's official test driver. Klien got the job after Honda failed to find a deal with former McLaren test driver Gary Paffett. It is not clear what Paffett will now do.

Christian brings 46 Grands Prix worth of experience to the team, despite the fact that he is just 23 years of age.

"Christian has accumulated a great deal of experience in Formula 1 over the past three years," said Honda's sporting director Gil de Ferran. "This should prove extremely valuable to us given the limitations placed on teams by the new testing regulations. We expect Christian to play an important role in the development of the RA107."
