Alonso wins World Championship

Fernando Alonso has won the Formula 1 World Championship for the second consecutive year in his Renault.

Renault also took the Constructors Championship over Ferrari.

Michael Schumacher's hopes of winning were derailed when he suffered a rear puncture early on probably as a result of running over wreckage.
