Montoya's NASCAR debut confirmed

Chip Ganassi Racing has confirmed that Juan Pablo Montoya will make his NASCAR Busch Series debut at Memphis Motorsport Park on October 28. To date Montoya has competed in two ARCA races, similar but slower than the Busch Series. He did well in both but wrecked in the second. Montoya has been kept busy of late with tests, running at Memphis and Homestead in addition to his racing and the word is that after the Busch Series debut we will see the former McLaren runner making his Nextel Cup debut in Miami, probably replacing Casey Mears in the Texaco Havoline Dodge.

Our spies, incidentally, tell us that there is now not going to be any big NASCAR deal for Jacques Villeneuve and that we may only see the Canadian in a few Busch races.
