Johnny go lately
Johnny Herbert has spent the recent months trying to put a gloss on the face of the MF1 Racing team, using his "cheeky chappy" charm to offset the rather more dour presence of chief executive Colin Kolles and absentee owner Alex Shnaider. With the team now having been acquired by a gaggle of more extrovert Dutchmen, there is little room left for Herbert as the newcomers try to create an image of their own.
The hiring of Herbert was seen as way in which the team could make positive contact with the influential British F1 media, a group which is widely copied around the globe.
