Karthikeyan's deal with Williams lengthened
Williams has extended Narain Karthikeyan's deal as a test driver, thus ensuring not only interest but in the team but also sponsorship from India's Tata, the country's biggest conglomerate of companies, which is involved in a multitude of different businesses. The deal is believed to guarantee Narain a certain amount of kilometres in the cars although our sources say that he had a similar deal this year but ended up being used considerably more than the deal stipulated.
The deal is good news for F1 in India as it gives the Indian fans a team for which to cheer
