Midlands are out!

The two Midland-Toyotas have been excluded from the German Grand Prix for running flexible rear wings. The cars were found to have "excessive flexibility" in the lower rear wing elements.

According to the stewards "both sides of each car have a significant degree of flexibility such that the rear part of the wing appears to bend in a downward direction". This is considered to be a breach of the technical regulations which states that parts of a car influencing its aerodynamic performance must remain rigidly secured and immobile in relation to the unsprung part of the car.

The cars finished 13th and 14th.
