More moves in F1 politics

The pushing and shoving in the world of Formula 1 politics continues with the signs are that there will be another meeting of the Sporting Working Group in the week ahead to consider a new version of the engine homologation rules. The proposals have to be made by the end of June in order to be adopted and it seems that the FIA may be willing to consider a modified proposal that suits all concerned. It remains to be seen whether this will actually happen but if not the federation will have the rules it wants for 2008 but will then have to face the prospect of the whole thing being changed for 2009 because the Sporting Working Group would then have a year to make new proposals. Thus it is in the interest of all concerned to try to find a suitable solution within in the next seven days to avoid further unpleasantness.
