Rahal to test GP2
Grahal Rahal, the rising US star, will be testing for the DPR Direxiv GP2 team at Paul Ricard on Wednesday, June 28. The team will run Olivier Pla on the first day of the test - presumably to provide a comparison and then Rahal will take over for the second day of the testing. Clivio Piccione will be running the team's second car on both days. If all goes to plan Rahal will move to Europe in 2007 to race in GP2 and hopes that this will lead to a chance in Formula 1.
One thing that will help the youngster are the connections enjoyed by his father Bobby, who was the team principal of Jaguar Racing a few years ago. Rahal has already shown his pace in the US, showing well in the Atlantic series so far this year.
