Fisichella back to 10th

Giancarlo Fisichella has been docked his three fastest laps in qualifying for getting in the way of David Coulthard and that means that the Italian will start the Monaco Grand Prix from 10th on the grid. The F1 world is now waiting to hear what the FIA Stewards will decide about Michael Schumacher's incident.

In the F1 paddock at Monaco it was astonishing that apart from people in Ferrari clothing there was no-one who believed that Michael had not deliberately caused the yellow flags in order to keep hold of his provisional pole position.

From the split times available it is clear that Michael was going slower on his final lap and that those behind him on the road were going faster and indeed Fernando Alonso, Mark Webber and Kimi Raikkonen would all have overtaken the German if the incident had not occurred - assuming, of course, that they did not make mistakes themselves. It is impossible to say which of these drivers would have ended up fastest but it is clear that Michael Schumacher was not going to be that man.
