Zander joins BMW

Jorg Zander has been hired by BMW Sauber to be the Swiss-based team's chief designer. The 42-year-old German will start work in Hinwil in July and will report to BMW Sauber technical director Willy Rampf.

Until recently Zander was employed at Williams but did not fit in well with the team and departed a few weeks ago. Prior to that he was at BAR between 2002 and 2005 and started his F1 career prior to that at Toyota in Cologne, where he began working in 1999.
