Todt harsh on Massa

Felipe Massa has, in the mind of most of the F1 circus, done a good job this year as team mate to Michael Schumacher. Coming into a top team for the first time and getting even close to a seven-time World Champion (and beating him on occasion) is a pretty good effort for a young driver like Massa. But Todt seems to think that the Brazilian might have done better. This is odd and there is probably a lot more to this than meets the eye. Todt may be covering himself in case he has to ditch Felipe at the end of the year to accommodate a combination of Michael Schumacher, Kimi Raikkonen and, if the world has gone completely mad, Valentino Rossi. At the same time it may have something to do with the fact that Massa is managed by Nicolas Todt, Jean's son, and he does not wish to be seen to be favouring the Brazilian too much.

Whatever the case, we think Massa has done a good job and are surprised that Todt does not.
