Renault F1 man to judge Formula Student

The Institute of Mechanical Engineers, which organises the Formula Student racing car design competition in Britain, has announced that Jon Hilton, the technical director of of the engine division of the Renault F1 team will be its chief judge for the event in 2006. The competition is scheduled to take place at the Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground in Leicestershire between July 5-8.

Hilton is the chairman of the Midland region of the IMechE and competes in sprint and hillclimb events with his own Suzuki-engined single seater.
