Silverstone man gets three years in jail
Former Silverstone finance man Stephen Beattie has been jailed for three years and seven months after admitting in court that he conned the British Racing Drivers Club, which owns the UK's Silverstone racing circuit, using club cheques made out in his name between October 2002 and July 2004. Beattie was dismissed by the club in September 2004 when financial irregularities came to light.
