Hamilton sets the pace in GP2

A two-day GP2 test at Paul Ricard saw series novice Lewis Hamilton setting the pace with a best lap of 1m12.838s in his ART Grand Prix entry. This was a tenth faster than the more experienced Argentina's Jose Maria Lopez (Super Nova Racing) and Nelson Piquet Jr (Piquet Sports), who recorded 1m12.957s and 1m13.068s repectively. Hamilton's team mate Alexandre Premat was fourth fastest with a 1m13.105s lap.

Showing well was Trident Motorsport's Andreas Zuber, who was fifth fastest overall with a lap of 1m13.276s ahead of Ernesto Viso (iSport International), Adam Carroll (Racing Engineering), Lucas de Grassi (Durango), Alexandre Negrao (Piquet Sports) and Gianmaria Bruni (Trident).
