Super Aguri names names

The Super Aguri F1 team has given details of some more of its technical team and there seems to be a decent amount of F1 experience in the team. The team will be run in Britain by Daniele Audetto, a vastly-experienced F1 player for the last 30-odd years with operations and administration being handled by former Arrows men Kevin Lee and Wayne Humphries. The chief technical officer is Mark Preston, a former Arrows engineer who went on to work for McLaren before setting up his own team with the aim of getting to F1. The team's chief designer, however, is Peter McCool, a former Reynard designer who went on to become a director of Apollo Racing Design, a composite company which went out of business in 2003. Among the design team is Ian Thomson, a former Ferrari composites specialist who spent 10 years at Sauber and then moved to Prost GP.

The team will have former Arrows team manager Mick Ainsley-Cowlishaw and chief mechanic Phill Spencer, who was formerly chief mechanic at Jordan. The race engineering team will be headed by Graham Taylor, who had a similar role at Arrows in 2001 and 2002 before heading off to the United States in 2003 to work with American Spirit Team Johansson working with Ryan Hunter-Reay in 2003. He then moved on to Champion Racing in the ALMS but in recent months has been working as chief engineer with A1 Team Holland. His team will include Gerry Hughes, formerly of the Williams touring car team, Prodrive, Jaguar F1, Jordan and Red Bull Racing and Spaniard Antonio Cuquerella, who moves into F1 from the SEAT Sport European Touring Car team.
