Meanwhile in Italy

Giancarlo Fisichella's FMS International GP2 team, a partnership with Coloni Motorsport team will be running 20-year old Luca Filippi for the next two seasons. Filippi drove for the Fisichella in last year's European 3000 Championship last year and has since tested for Minardi.

It is worth noting, incidentally, that Giancarlo Minardi has recently acquired the right to use his own name in racing and will be involved in Euro 3000 this year in partnership with GP Racing, a team set up by Mauro Loro and Tancredi Pagiaro in 1997. The team will be known as Minardi Team by GP Racing and will run in the traditional yellow and black livery of Minardi with drivers Fabrizio Del Monte and Juan Caceres.
