Williams launch FW28

Today Williams F1 unveiled the team's latest challenger, the FW28 powered by a Cosworth V8, at their Grove headquarters, with which the team hopes to return to the front-end of the grid after a disappointing season last year.

Sam Michael said, "the FW28 has a lot resting on its shoulders as it must re-establish Williams at the sharp end. There are many good teams in Formula One now and how to beat them is simple - design a faster car."

The team also confirmed new sponsor Tata, on of India's largest corporations, as well as confirming Indian driver Narain Karthikeyan as the second test driver.

Karthikeyan said, "It has taken some while to resolve what I would be doing for 2006, but having tested for Williams late last year, joining the team was the best option for me and I am delighted that we can finally confirm this today. I am looking forward to testing the FW28 and making a contribution to Williams' competitiveness this season."
